Why this blog?
Because most people don’t understand how brand protection works, and how this is already a big part of our everyday lives.
This blog is for our clients – business owners, graphic designers, ad agencies, marketing managers and anyone who has a brand to protect.
With the help of the very talented researcher and writer Philip Kennedy, we are deliberately writing in plain English because there is way too much information published in legalese.
Leaving comments on this blog: Comments are encouraged. Constructive criticism is fine. Even destructive criticism is acceptable. But no racist or obscene comments, please, because they will not be approved.

I am the principal of Choy Lawyers, which specialises in trade marks and copyright – mainly doing brand protection work.

• Ranked as a Leading Lawyer for Australian Intellectual Property in Asialaw 2006 and 2007 surveys

• Listed in 2005/06 and 06/07 editions of Asia-Pacific Legal 500 for Intellectual Property

Hi Trevor
As the whole world seems to be trademarking anything and everything these days I find you can never know enough about IP and associated issues.
This is really useful site/blog and will refer my clients and my RMIT Advertising and Swinburne Design students to it.
Thanks for including me on your list of valued clients. It’s a relationship I also truly value after many years of sound advice and great service from Choy Lawyers.
Kind regards
Jo.
